Kirsten Glaetzer is a member of one of the most famous winemaking dynasties in the Barossa Valley - being related to all the "other" winemaking Glaetzers in John (Wolf Blass), Colin (Glaetzer Wines) and Sam (Wolf Blass). A graduate of the famous Charles Sturt University winemaking degree Kirsten has no trouble making a "name" for herself in Australian winemaking circles. As a Senior White Winemaker at Wolf Blass since 1999, Kirsten has been largely responsible for the consistently high quality rieslings, chardonnays and blends coming from the Wolf Blass stable.

Winemaking Employment History - chronology
1993-1997. Yellowglen winery, Ballarat, Victoria. Laboratory Biotechnologist. In 1997 Kirsten decided that winemaking was a lot more interesting than wearing a white coat and being inside a lab all day.

Dec. 1997. Moved to the Barossa Valley to marry Sam Glaetzer (Red Winemaker at Wolf Blass) and started work at Krondorf as trainee white winemaker.

May 1999. Left Krondorf and began working at Wolf Blass as white winemaker, now as Senior White Winemaker.

Major winemaking trophies/achievements/critical reviews:
The continued success of a wide range of Wolf Blass white wines owes a great deal to the talents of Kirsty and her boss Wendy Stuckey.
Kirsten is largely responsible for the consistently high quality rieslings, chardonnays and blends coming from the Wolf Blass stable.
Kirsten was an Associate Judge at the National Wine Show, Canberra in 2001.
