Produced in partnership with the world-renowned golfer, the Greg Norman Estates range are proving to be an international success story since their launch in August 1999.
Greg Norman has visited all of the Beringer Blass wineries in the premium wine growing regions of Australian and has worked with Beringer Blass chief winemaker, Chris Hatcher, to personally select the wines in the range.
The first two wines released were a cool climate Yarra Valley Chardonnay and a Cabernet Merlot blend from Coonawarra, Australia's top red wine growing region.
Both wine were featured in Wine Spectator magazine, where they earned high praise:
"Tasted blind with other Australian reds, I rated the Greg Norman Estate Cabernet Merlot Coonawarra 1996 at 91 points (outstanding on Wine Spectator's 100-point scale). A supple wine, it has more intensity and pure cabernet character than many Australian wines made to sell at two or three times the price." - Harvey Steiman, Editor.
Of the Greg Norman Estates Yarra Valley Chardonnay 1998, Harvey Steiman wrote, "It's smooth texture and bright, profuse pear, floral and apricot flavours earned it an 88 point rating."
Recently a Limestone Coast Shiraz and Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir have been added to the range.
One of the most dominant golf players of his generation, Greg Norman's record speaks for itself. Now the Greg Norman Estates wines are proving to be champions.
