| Winemaking is a combination of inspiration, hard work and artisanship.
At Beringer Blass our philosophy on winemaking is simple - quality is paramount whether we are making a blend of great value wine to travel around the globe or a tiny, single vineyard wine to express the precious resource of a fine old vineyard. Integral to this belief is to give our winemakers the freedom to express themselves and to ensure they have the resources they need to make the best wine possible. These beliefs have resulted in us making many of the great wines of Australia from the legendary 1963 Mildara Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, better known as the Peppermint Pattie, right through to the 1999 Jimmy Watson-trophy winning Wolf Blass Black Label. Our vast vineyard resources, our world-class winemaking facilities and our insistence on regionality, individualism and integrity ensure that as we grow and prosper our wines set new benchmarks of quality.
